چکیده

Provably correct software can only be achieved by basing the development process on formal methods. For most industrial applications such a development never terminates because requirements change and new functionality has to be added to the system. Therefore a formal method that supports an incremental development of complex systems is required. The project CoCoN (Provably Correct Communication Networks) that is carried out jointly between Philips Research Laboratories Aachen and the University of Oldenburg takes results from the ESPRIT Basic Research Action ProCoS to show the applicability of a more formal approach to the development of correct telecommunications software. These ProCoS-methods have been adapted to support the development of extensible speciications for distributed systems. Throughout this paper our approach is exempliied by a case study how call handling software for telecommunication switching systems should be developed. keywords: extension of existing formal methods, combination of methods, incremental development

Distributed and Cooperative Compressive Sensing Recovery Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks with Bi-directional Incremental Topology

Recently, the problem of compressive sensing (CS) has attracted lots of attention in the area of signal processing. So, much of the research in this field is being carried out in this issue. One of the applications where CS could be used is wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The structure of WSNs consists of many low power wireless sensors. This requires that any improved algorithm for this appli...

Distributed Incremental Least Mean-Square for Parameter Estimation using Heterogeneous Adaptive Networks in Unreliable Measurements

Adaptive networks include a set of nodes with adaptation and learning abilities for modeling various types of self-organized and complex activities encountered in the real world. This paper presents the effect of heterogeneously distributed incremental LMS algorithm with ideal links on the quality of unknown parameter estimation. In heterogeneous adaptive networks, a fraction of the nodes, defi...

Tracking performance of incremental LMS algorithm over adaptive distributed sensor networks

in this paper we focus on the tracking performance of incremental adaptive LMS algorithm in an adaptive network. For this reason we consider the unknown weight vector to be a time varying sequence. First we analyze the performance of network in tracking a time varying weight vector and then we explain the estimation of Rayleigh fading channel through a random walk model. Closed form relations a...

Re nement and Validation of Software Requirements using In - cremental Simulation

Requirements engineering refers to activities of gathering and organizing customer requirements and system speci cations, making explicit representations of them, and making sure that they are valid and accounted for during the course of the design lifecycle of software. One very popular software development practice is the incremental development practice. The incremental development refers to...
